Question on a early 601 passenger car.

Some Question on this Lionel prewar passenger car:
Is this a early version of the Lionel 601 passenger car?
Did Lionel make a observation car that matches this early version?
Is the 602 baggage car the same version as this 601?
What engine pulled it 150, 152, 158?
Was this car sold in a set and if so what did the set consist off.
Tried looking in my books and online, but there is not to much information on this early version.
