There are two versions of the MTH HO engines for sale. One is DCC equipped, one is DCC ready. So the OP needs to state which model # exactly he's looking at.
Maybe adding to the confusion were the very first releases of MTH HO engines that only ran with DC power?

He did: 80-3274-1. Which is a 2017 model w/3.0.
