Not true for HO. Only the Marklin style 3 rail MTH HO boards are meant for AC I believe. Have not done much HO work recently. O and #1 gauge that is true. G

MTH S Scale will also run on AC, DC, DCC, or DCS.

I imagine the code is the same and the two-rail HO models will run on AC, but I can't think of any two-railers running HO on AC anyway.
