Question re red light on Lionel Milwaukee Road S-3

Does anybody know if this light has a separate connection on the motherboard in the tender? I want to turn it off permanently since it shouldn't be on when the locomotive is moving, and I'd just as soon not pull the boiler unless I have to. Thanks in advance.
