Question regarding adding motors to dummy engine

I have a question concerning how many motors 1 PS2 or 3 board can power. My thoughts are to install a single motor in the dummy just for some extra pulling power as the train length and my layout grades are putting a single engine under a bit too much stress. Wheel slip from my 4 axle units, the six axles seem to have no issue. Does anyone know if I can add a single extra motor and wire it in to the existing powered unit?
