Questions about the Lionel pedestrian walkover bridge

Anyone have a 6-14083 Pedestrian Walkover bridge? What is the maximum open span area that trains can pass through? Catalog dimension says 7" but is that to top railing of bridge or to bottom underpass floor of bridge? What is the length of the horizontal walkover bridge span? Will the lowest part where it angle down to meet the staircase clear engines and cars, or do the trains have to stay centered under the horizontal walkover bridge section?

Reason I ask, is I need to create an extra long walkover (two walkover bridges spliced midsection) to reach over from one side of tracks to new area and my tracks aren't spaced the normal distance apart. Went to Lionel website but can't find any dimensioned drawings other than the stated 14 x 13 x 7 inch footprint.

Appreciate any dimension help.
