Thanks for all this excellent info. Would you please also let us know the width of each base at the foot of staircases (i.e., the width of the faux concrete platforms) ?

If the total width is 14" and you're saying that the inside distance between the staircases is 11-3/8", that would leave 2-5/8" left over. That would imply that each staircase platform/sidewalk area is 1-5/16" wide. That doesn't seem right. They look wider in the photos.

I'm also trying to figure out where this might go on a layout, so your help is much appreciated.
