Reply to "Questions on Lionel Type R and V transformers"

The first and foremost thing that would worry me about that transformer is the cord, it looks as if Ben Franklin himself was the first to plug it in....I’d swap that out straight away......other than that, it’s hard to tell in the photo what could have been shorting out from your previous reply...........Pat
