Reply to "R. J. Corman Railroads"

I know several folks that work for this Company, and met Rick Corman, many years ago, and pretty fond of Steam Locomotives. I asked Rick why he bought a Chinese Steam engine to run, he told me about his bout he was having with cancer, and didn't have the time to procure one, then take the time in overhauling, and bringing it to Standards. He has owned the old L&N/C&O line from Lexington area, to Louisville, where he has a massive Dredging Sand and Gravel operation on the Ohio River, bringing commodities to the Frankfort/Lexington/Winchester area by rail. I haven't been on his site in sometime, but it gives a pretty good answer to your question, and if you could call and talk with one of Rick's Kids who own, and run his Company, they will be more than happy to answer any of your questions. I understand now they have made it into Texas, or at least I heard that from a friend of mine that does Engine work for them.....One of my Grandson's is a certified welder, and loves railroads, welds on pipeline construction, at present. I told him to take the time, as with what he can do, they would hire him in a New York Minute.......!
