Rail-fanning at Imlay City, Michigan β’ January 15th, 2022 β’ 17ΒΊF
Imlay City is about 70 miles north of my train room. It is a historic city with a lot of historic homes & businesses. I arrived at 12:30 PM and stayed for five hours. This BNSF is a rare catch in Michigan and it was the lead locomotive in a fast mixed freight. Outside the train station is a GTW Caboose & Passenger Car.
Track side is a grain elevator. Inside the station is a model of a GTW Steam locomotive built by Jim Gilkson in 1931. Scale 1/16 to the inch.
Every model railroader started out rail-fanning!
Hope to see you out rail-fanning and posting your images on βRail-fanning on The OGR Forumβ. Any day and time. π
