Reply to "Railking 4-6-0 Ten Wheelers--were they Walter E. Disney train originally?"

This the link to the guy who made his ten wheeler into a Disney Ten Wheeler. He also said you can use his photos to convert it over

He also explained to me the following:

The deal was that originally MTH got the contract with Walt Disney World to produce Railking models of the Baldwin 10 wheeler Walter E. Disney, the contract fell through because of MTH manufacturing trains over in Taiwan or Korea(One or the other).

Now with that being said, the locomotives that they painted for the Walt Disney World railroad where repainted into the "president series" 10 wheelers and the "Great American circus" series.

On The locomotives if you hold the cold tender sideways into the light you can see the Walt Disney World Railroad crest underneath the paint. Also when you look at the Styrofoam liner on the trains in the corner where would identify what train was in the box you will see WDWRR indicating it was supposed to be a Walt Disney World railroad locomotive.

As you can tell I took the idea and made my own I really wish MTH would do that because they had a really fantastic model. And I did talk to a couple of my friends that work for the railroad up there and MTH did model there 10 wheelers directly off the Baldwin locomotives in the park. I just wish they would've made one for Roger Broggie(Other Ten Wheeler).
