I found RR-Track v5 to be crash-prone and I regret upgrading from v4. Suggest you try out trial versions of AnyRail, SCARM, and XtrackCAD. Purchasing a full version of those alternatives is cheaper than RR-Track (especially if you design in multiple scales).
