Hi Ron,

You can "do it right" with pencil and paper. Use the graph paper to have a scale reference for the room and table size. yes, learning the application can be frustrating.

Then, someone can convert it RR-Track. That way you'll be able to open the plan, run sims, print plans, lists look at 3D view.

The benefit of RR-Track or model rr software is that it generates an inventory required, manage any grades, overpasses and elevations accurately and also provide a simulation for trial run to determine if you like how it will actually operate. it really helps with fitment as long as the room and table measurements are accurate. the accessory libraries help with accurate placement an fitment of those, if any.

The software generates a build plan or blueprint of your design. The design comes from your study and imagination.

So, sketch it out and post a photo of the drawing with your givens.

Perform some internet searches or library visits and find some elements of the railroad that you would like on yours.
