Re wheeling.... what’s the secret?

Hello everyone trainfam here,

Ok... I don’t know if there is a secret or not, but can someone help? I have been collecting, operating, and repairing these model for years now. And in these years I have reckoned with many different challenges. But if there is one challenge that is the most annoying to deal with, it’s rewheeling. The biggest issue is keeping the bearings in the hole whilst trying to tighten the wheels. This specifically seems to be an issue with Marx trains. So my question to everyone is, is there a secret to getting these things to sit them in place? Maybe taping them in place? Any recommendations would be helpful.
