It appears at one time AM made two differently numbered extra coaches for the PRR silver set since I have both of them. These were purchased from Dennis Bagby about 10 years ago. I am not sure when he purchased them. I have not seen two differently numbered extra coaches listed on the AM website.
Somewhere in the early advertising for the Budd sets, 3 extra coaches were mentioned. They were released in 2000.
You either have to call AM for the other extra Budd coaches or indicate "all three extra numbers" on your order form. Which is what I've done in the past.
As far as the domes go, even though they are listed as a "3 car set," they are individually boxed.
Not everyone bought all three extra coaches, which is why I suspect the domes are listed as either a single car or 3 car set. At this point in time AM may not have all three extra regular coach numbers for certain roads.
