I used to love Train Dispatcher 2!  I'm not sure it runs on modern platforms though.

I played it a lot in the early 2000s.  One of the territories I downloaded was the Allentown-Reading, PA area.  I used to railfan there as a young man.  I thought the software was very realistic, and it gave me new insight as to some of the train movements I used to see, wrong side main, where trains were held, etc.  Auran Trainz, Microsoft Train Simulator and its successors are great, but they focus on running the train.  I guess you could create a territory like this in Trainz using the "portal" objects, and just play it from the map view.  But that would take a lot of work.

Honestly I wish I had this program again.  If nothing else I would like to make a note of the train "line up," their originating and ending points to aid in make-believe on my O gauge layout!

I really enjoyed this sim and wish they would port it to iOS.  It would be a much better time-waster than Pinochle    @rrman please let me know if you get TD2 to work in Windows 10 or iOS 13.3.

I downloaded this and it runs perfectly on my windows 10 computer (so far).  It plays like I remember on my commodore64 (I think?) machine.  I started reading the user manual and this really dated the software as it says to create a windows 3.1 or windows 95 folder  (remember those versions, now I feel old) to load the simulator

So far I managed to wreck two or three trains head on.   Wish there was a TD2 gaming site to ask questions as I am sure Rich M doesn't want this thread tying up memory and getting away from OGR and scale train topics.
