RealTrax vs FasTrack

I was about to go all-in on MTH RealTrax for a large carpet floor layout, but I've been reading how there are issues with RealTrax and maybe Lionel FasTrack would be the better way to go? I'd just have to figure out how best to wire my DCS stuff to the FasTrack, but that seems trivial...

Right now, I'm not interested in ScaleTrax or Atlas or Ross or any of those other options because I'm currently on the carpeted floor, just RealTrax vs FasTrack, unless there's a similar option I'm not aware of?
