No, but I got to run some visiting "scale tinplate" as a kid pulled by an old 6 driver lionel switcher.

The concept (and guy) struck me as an oddball. I liked the added details he did, but scale or not I thought the non-op couplers were dumb once he lifted a car to uncouple it. A working coupler made more sense to me, even oversized. I'm usually more about function than perfect looks.
