I've set my minimum clearance on O72 or larger curves to fixed obstructions at 3 1/4" and 6" between adjacent tracks. I did some tests with my VL-BB and the MTH Premier C&O M-1 Turbine as some of the biggest stuff I run, no sweat with either of those. No curves less than O72, so no worry about tighter curve clearances.
