Removing the Oversize Sidewalk From MTH Buildings

I am putting this MTH hotel on my layout and had a problem with the size of the sidewalk/base. The curb would be >2' high.

I carefully removed the four screws in the base and then even more carefully the two screws holding down the circuit board for the sign. I removed the board from the recess and cut the wires off of the spring clips. I spliced the wires back together and left them unsoldered and untapped until I add the feed. I used one of the base mounting screws to mount the circuit board to one of the posts that used to connect the base. You must take care to keep the board straight and not over tighten the screw. You don't want a cracked board. I cut a piece of 3/16" foam board for the new sidewalk/base.
