Reply to "Replacement Parts for MTH Smoke Units"

If MTH has the correct part only makes sense to use that.  However if not you can slip brass tubing or perhaps barrel nuts on the legs of smoke units with short legs and adjust the height to anything you want.  You will need longer screws to reach up to the screw holes of the shorter legs though.  Pretty sure MTH does not sell the heater bowl for their smoke units or the blower cage, motor or impeller.  You can find the correct motor on ebay as well as resistors and wicks  but that's it for parts.  However I see complete smoke units from time to time on eBay.     Finding one with the right legs may be a long ebay search.  The legs on my Veranda's smoke units also went south and I slipped brass tubing over the nubs then soldered nuts at the bottom of the tubes and used JB Weld to hold the new legs on.  I debated filling the tubes with JB Weld and drilling a hole but ended up using the nuts.  Been working for a couple of years.                      j
