NW, if using plain ole turtle wax I tend to agree with you however, the Carnauba wax is cleaner as well. It's just not as aggressive as a polishing compound. I've used Carnauba with good result getting dirt off. Use what ya want, it's your piece.

The Turtle Wax carnauba will be in my next Amazon shipment. I'll post a photo if it works.
