Reply to "Retirement Community Model Railroad"

We built a HO Model RR at the new Senior Center in Holyoke MA. The RR goes back in time when there was an Amusement Park called Mountain Park, it was torn down in the 1980's but I resurrected it from old photographs and actual plans from some of the original manufactures of some of the rides. The merry-ground is still in operation in a park in downtown Holyoke. A few of the main buildings were duplicated for the downtown area. The Seniors love it and come often to the small area we were allocated in the Senior Center, the RR reminds the Seniors of days gone by.  We operate the RR on Thursdays from 12 t0 2:30, but it is open every day for everyone to visit.
