Here is a 3700 class in color, with a detailed closeup from 1952... Note the color of the cab and tender, same color shade...

Another Dark Olive Green Enamel Boiler candidate...

Being as Engines were still being painted with this color late in 1944, it IS ENTIRELY possible to have the late Green Boiler jacket...
