I have one. Generally I'm a scale-y guy, but when something hits me...mine is in NYC black/cigar band. Cute as a button and "realistic-looking". I have run it using a modern transformer (0-volt start) and a Lionel Powermaster. It seemed civilized in its lower-to-mid speed range, if not a crawler. I'd like to put ERR and remote couplers in/on it, but that list is too long to ever finish.
It sits on a shelf today next to two its Marx ancestors (OK, just the body is Marx-descended). I'd like another just for the heck of it, but they are indeed rare and typically over-priced. I got mine back when they first showed up. Seems that they were never cheap.
