Ross Switches with DCS

Planning on running these on my layout and I tried calling today but didn't get ahold of anybody so I will ask you all...

Going to run the DCS system and was wondering if I want the dz1000 or dz2500 switches. I see the 2500s paired with the data link connector only takes up one space on the aiu but does that still allow each individual switch control through the remote?

Just want to clarify before I spend the extra ten bucks per switch.
