The DZ1000 is a better machine Both can be connected using an AIU

Here is the wiring diagram for a DZ1000 on an AIU

If you decide to use the DZ2500 don't use the recommended way of connection to an AIU because it is a kluge. Use the yellow and green non-derailing wires on the machine for non-derailing but also connect them to an AIU port. The motor will switch using the AIu at the faster speed but is much more reliable that way.
