Midwest Products in Hobart,IN.,sells  O Scale cork roadbed, I bought a number of boxes from Ross Custom Switches. If you have switches you can use 1/4 inch Lauan (underlayment) sheet, use the switch to create a template by drawing the switch shape on the Lauan and cut it out using a scroll or jig saw . The overall height of both the Lauan and the Midwest Products cork roadbed are basically the same. The Lauan can be purchased at a lumber yard, Lowes or Menards, the 4FT. x 8FT Sheet was reasonably priced. I used wire nails to secure the Lauan switch shape cutout and Elmer's white glue for attachment to the plywood train board. I used Gargrave's Phantom tin plate track and switches Gargraves and Ross. Secure the track and switches using blackened #4x3/4 pan head sheet metal screws from Micro Fasteners item number SMPPK0412.
