Can someone with a more sophisticated knowledge of things that can be done with a cell phone tell me what is the difference between the Flyerchief-Bluetooth and what Mike from MTH was talking about at York, about controlling locomotives with a cell phone?

Is there any possibility of inter-operablity? I am reticent to get involved with any operating system that may be obsolete when phone tech changes.
