When I first received this 20-2915-1 locomotive the forward headlamp was non functional straight out of the box. A little detective work and re-seating the plug brought the lamp to life. The following year the PS2 board failed and had to be replaced at my expense since it was out of warranty. 
$$$ At some point after that repair I noticed that the forward headlamp was out again. I pulled off the body, checked the plug, looks okay, examined the lamp and could not see any discoloration indicating a burnout but couldn't see filament either. Put it back together and ran it as is. Runs great except for the no headlight. Now however I'm thinking I'd like that operational.
First, what's the possibility it's the board and not the lamp? Next, I can't find a part number anywhere and MTH is non responsive to parts number requests. I guess a $4.00 part isn't worth their time. I also checked with Brasseur Trains but they couldn't help. The owner's manual doesn't list any part numbers either nor . Does anyone have any suggestions on how to best tackle this?
