Reply to "Seeing the #17 York at "Steaming into History" next week - Need some questions answered"

I was there with a buddy a ffew years ago and we found lots of spots to get good photos of the train.   I don't remember how easy it was to chase however.     I think maybe we got it at each end and then picked one spot along the way.    There is one place where the track goes along the walking trail which used to be a second track and is very accessible and in a wooded setting that is quite nice.    And the lay over a tthe north end at the old hotel and that is a good spot for photos. although often have to dodge the lot of people.
