Well I have decided what my layout is going to consist of. Im doing a Santa fe theme(Go figure). Part of the layout will be a desert/dry theme, another part will be a midwest plains theme, and the third will be a replica mountain theme modeled from Raton Pass. Was thinking about putting an old replica minature old gold prospecting site somewhere on the modeled mountain. Maybe old water wheel, little cabin, stuff like that. Anyone have any ideas that could maybe make me change some things. I was first given permission(from the wife)to do a 4x8 layout but after showing her how muck track I had she blessed that a bigger construction site was ok "but nothing crazy!" (her words) So I guess Ill squeeze till cut off!! Anyhow, So would like some input on this.
