First I would like to start out stating I love my trains. I have had Lionel trains all my life starting at the age of 5 with my first Scout set. Over the years Lionel has gone through many changes, some good some not so much; I would like to address the not so much. While this is old news to many, it just *isses me off that we buy very expensive toys from this company, and yet they cannot wait to run away from the product they make. Case in point I have a 2 year old J3A with all the bells and whistles. It started to have smoking issues (whistle and threw a code as such). I called Lionel and wanted to send it back for repair. I would have paid with no issues but was told in a rude way.....sorry if its not under warranty take it to a repair center. Now fine but the direct feeling and information telegraphed was its your problem go away. This is not customer service and this is not how to keep them. That's my two cents.
