setting up a Legacy Cab 2 with a 360 powemaster and 360w brick. my question why does this power master require 2 brick inputs the directions warn not to use only one

I'm running Legacy locos and tmcc locos I don't understand why my 360w power master requires 2 powerhouse inputs The direction warn not to use only one but no explanation why Can someone explain the reason for this. I have 1 360w brick and a small layout
