In both of the above units, none of the lights illuminate on when receiving power. Additionally, the Mikado will not move, however, the Railsounds do work from the tender. It receives input from my transformer to make whistle and bell noises and makes the appropriate sounds. In the BB1, the sound unit has similar issues with the Mikado, no lights come on, the rail sounds work, however since the powered unit works I can still make it move. In both the Mikado, and the BB1 sound unit, I cannot program them. The Mikado shows no signs of receiving any input, however, the BB1 sound unit whistles appropriately when reset, but has the same problems as before when switched back to RUN. Furthermore, the BB1 seems to sputter violently for a few seconds when in program mode, initially flashing lights for a couple seconds and throwing the electro coupler several times, this happens consistently. I would love help resolving these issues, but if the problem requires me to get on the inside of either of the engines, I would need some further guidance as I am unfamiliar with the innards of more modern O-scale locomotives. Any help is greatly appreciated.
