Reply to "Small Layout Started: 76" by 48""

After receiving the FasTrack and SuperStreets that I had hoped would be needed for my small layout, I did a test fit.

Yesterday I laid a foundation of thin grey indoor/outdoor carpet on the plywood to deaden the sound of wheels running on track.

Today I put together what I hope will be the track and SuperStreets for my layout. The TrackMobile is on the SuperStreet and two freight cars are on the FasTrack (as you can see).

Next I need to remove the remotes from the switches that are Command Control and then perform a test run through all track and SuperStreets.

The "mainline" will accommodate Lionel's L&N 0-8-0 Legacy Steamer. The layout will primarily be for covered hopper operation. One of the five that I will purchase is resting on a spur.
