In preparation, I put down yellow arrows on the floor around the house, to practice proper aisle etiquette; left a few coins in a bowl in the bathroom every time I went in there - of course, I was practicing holding it too so I didn't go so many times in a day. Our house keeper thought they were for her in lieu of her check; Went outside to take my phone calls; showed my id whenever I came back in; practiced taking photos stealthily - heh wait - I don't have to anymore; prepared cold french fries for lunch; practiced singing the national anthem with the accompaniment playing on the car radio out in the garage where you couldn't hear it; tried working out the Thursday is now not Friday but Tuesday thing with Mrs Muffin; got a long-nose clamp to practice doing an MTH DCS release upgrade on the remote at the users' meeting in case I get called into action; sat on a pile of wood chips and splinters while wedged into a kiddie seat to get my butt ready for the grandstand; practiced begging Atlas for a new diesel announcement; wore dark glasses in the closet while Mrs Muffin hit me with a laser pen light to get ready for the tent that's a booth that's a tent with all of those lit signs; dug out the basket we use for all of the scenery stuff we get at scenic express; reintroduced my body to scrapple - the heaves now subside pretty quickly; made a list of the donuts I have to try at the maple bakery; called my son the English major to get the low down on Charlie's announcement of a "free gift" in their booth that requires a $25 purchase - by definition isn't a gift free? Oh, this one is a $25 free gift? He couldn't help me - I still don't get it; Practiced sitting in the car from 11:00am to 12:00pm without looking at the time. Liked continuously; mapped out the fastest way to get to Vince's for the great deals when the clock strikes noon; plotting to get a picture of Mrs Muffin with Mr Batista. He's her hero. He has a video, did you know?; researched the names of native Italian bakery items so I don't think the NJHR are swearing at me when they call me a Sfogliatelle; practice thanking Andy for the new catalog at the DCS users meeting Wednesday night for my birthday. As Mrs Muffin says "nothing says birthday like talking DCS internals!"

What are you doing to prepare?????

I had not planned on attending a York meet, too far and too expensive for me. However, your preparation list above has just about changed my mind. I don't know what I would enjoy more, the York meet or just getting ready to go? I am saving this list just in case. I may just do some practice and see how it goes.
