Rusty:  Fake news.... BNSF and none of the railroads brought into the railroad ever owned a GP35.  It always bothers me when train makers produce engines painted for railroads that never had them.   Lionel painting the EP5 in three railroads that didn't have them.  Only the New Haven bought them.

I wish Ron would get busy and deliver the new Pacifics with the oil tenders.

Oh, really...

REAL NEWS:

CB&Q, GN and SLSF (Frisco,) all were original purchasers and merged into the BN.  The AT&SF also was an original purchaser of GP35's.  I have several books to prove it plus the Mainline Modeler GP35 data book.

Had you bothered to Google EMD GP35 you could easily find a listing of railroads that bought them.

The prototype BNSF 2526 is an ex-Santa Fe GP35.  There's several photos of it in yellow warbonnet with a BNSF patch on Railroad Picture Archive.  The only flaw I could find is it was not repainted orange and green, although it's quite possible there are pictures of it in full BNSF glory that are not on the web.

However, there are other photos of orange and green BNSF GP35's on the web.
