Sound Level on LionChief 0-8-0 (Not Lion Chief +)

I purchased a nice LionChief 0-8-0 Engine and Tender from a forum member. At that time I did not realize there was no little Sound Pot on the loco. The Sound level is way too loud for where I live so a have to operate the loco with no engine sounds at all. There is a switch to turn the sounds on or off.

I like to hear the chuffing so I am wondering ... How can you lower the volume without turning the sounds completely?
