It's your railroad, so of course whatever you decide to paint them is correct.  For the most part all SP cars were painted Olive green with Gold Lettering up through the 20's or so and then got "Dulux Gold" - I.E. Yellow Lettering afterwards.  

It is unlikely but not out of the question that the narrow gauge lines would have received a Daylight scheme.  The reality of narrow gauge railroading usually meant little money spent on lower income trains compared to the ones in the public eye.

However, the On30 Daylight would be pretty cool!  Of course you could go with the silver and red stripe standard scheme of post 1958 as well.

Silver and Red? That sounds more like the Santa Fe, but i see it. Hmm. Ill try experimenting.
