Heads up that Scott announced E7's in both green and black in the latest run:

If the black tuxedo version gets made (i think it needs ~20 orders), I have offered to help Scott review the details/painting on the black tuxedo version. I placed my order already. I will see if I can get him to do the special coils that ended up on the roof, if I can even find drawings or a good photo. Should be a single casting used 4 times, which would be much easier than the work put into the E8 roof, so maybe I can convince him.
Lionel also announced a bunch of stuff in their catalog today:
1. Black Southern Crescent Pacific on page 17. I don't do steam, but it looks cool.
2. The SW7 (page 22) looks to have a few details slightly off from a picture I have in my book from 1978 (which I am assuming if the picture they used since the handrails are yellow and has the dual-beam headlight.) @Dave Olson I can email you a quick comparison photo if you want - lmk. Btw happy belated birthday.
3. Auto carriers (page 34). Unfortunately they are too modern for me (1977 BLT dates), otherwise I would have snatched them up. Hopefully someone does unshielded bi-levels one day, I would need about 20 various ones to make up some trains I have photos of.
