It rained all morning long, some local flooding, then at 11:30 Independence, Missouri time, the clouds broke open and for the next 2 hours, it was beautiful, kinda erie when it went twilight at the moment of the full eclipse, street lights came on, then it clouded up again and rain and flash flooded areas that afternoon and evening. They say we got 2 months rainfall total in 24 hours. We got 6" at home that night.
The diamond ring effect of the eclipse was awesome also.
