Reply to "Standard gauge Hiawatha freight set."

Nice-looking GG1 set! I had a set of the heavyweight cars minus the diner. After several years of searching for the diner to complete the set, I decided to sell the cars. I really liked the way they look behind a 392e, but I prefer complete consists or none at all. So, without the diner, I sold them.

Although I recently made the decision to eliminate Standard Gauge from my tinplate layout, I still love it and am glad and proud to own a JAD Hiawatha. Shortly after I bought mine, I somehow connected with Dick Battaglia. During our conversation, he offered to send me a JAD advertising poster. I gladly accepted, and asked if he would sign it. He signed it, and it is now framed and hanging in my train room.
