Most were toy cars. Some were the older era cars. I'm really looking for the last ones that were painted for Stauffer. I'm going to assume that the Atlas O scale model had a real prototype. I don't remember seeing the real car?
The Book American Car and Foundry the first 100 Years by Edward J. Kaminski from the signature press has a big chapter @#2 dedicated to tank cars. there are several pic of Stauffer Chemical tank cars leased from Shippers car line:
SHPX series : 85146-85150 21,730 Gallon cars
then ACFX series: 85273-85293 17,375 Gallon cars
Both built in the late 1960's
In reviewing the Stauffer Chemical Co history, it looks like the company was purchased in the late 1980's
