A tiny bit on Dethklok/Metalocolypse because everything on the show is retro-futurism, although its intent is retro-futuristic death-metal-horror. About 5 seasons of 15min shows.

Dethklok is a band. The time is soon. So popular, they have become the 3rd largest economy in the world. They are not real real bright, but they are mega-rich. Their crews are cursed. If you work for them, you will likely die an early, ugly, death. But would do it for the honor, as the fans are rabid.

They use huge, crazy, menacing, Victorian look machines to travel. Their stages are also vehicles designed to take them away from concerts unharmed. Most concerts end in accidental deaths of up to thousands of fans each show as the music plays out. The band does things like accidently awakening a giant troll by using writings from forbidden sorcerer's scrolls for lyrics at a show. (after much carnage, the band sings it back to sleep with "dis grandpas guitars" [an acoustic])

I think there are two trains for Dethklok. One on the album, one for animation. If you can handle it (gore/adult/violence/language). Its actually insightful, funny, and has a few underlying, long running plots. The worlds more talented metal musicians visit too.

("guest playing" with them on the shows music. They only play with the band. Read the credits to know who played each show)
