I'm modelling the 40s-50s. I know a concrete plant popped up a quarter mile or so from the blast furnace that inspired my design and the trails around the old blast furnaces in town are covered with slag from the furnaces. Pretty cool stuff. I'm focusing on the steel aspect but the remaining connected industries are most definitely not out of the question. Just need the 1:1 real estate haha

Sounds like expansion loops would be a nice detail to add to the model. I hadn't even considered flue gas pipe lines. Steam, yes. But I guess I thought the flue gas was piped right back into the stoves. I guess I got more reading to do!!
