shorter than the 44-ton locomotive. no. that's the perception here based on the shell parts that Don sells that fits the 44.

Don's version is cute.. but not to scale.

there are a number of steeple cab designs, the MILW RD Precision scale ones I have are larger.

I have posted photo comparisons.
