Marty, meaning no disrespect, how does one do this hobby without having basic soldering skills? I'm always baffled by folks that can produce magnificent scenery, beautiful paint jobs on locomotives and rolling stock, and then they balk at soldering! The skill set is not nearly the same, soldering is a piece of cake compared to some of the artistry displayed for model trains.
