I also use ceiling tiles on top of 1/4” plywood for a Christmas layout. The tiles cost $45.00 for eight 2x4 foot panels. One of the benefits is the white surface makes it easier to simulate snow just add some ground snow. Plus the panels are easier to work with then full sized sheets

How is it for walking on while building the layout?
