I finally got around to making some progress on the layout , just hand posted for a while.
Here is an elevated are for the city I have been working on, some fronts added that I picked up at York and just built up.
In the front of the layout, at you come down the stairs, I decide to add a cliff, and a "steel" trestle. Here are some photos of the process. The trestles are from customer model railroads in NJ. Great guys to work with. I started with a framing of work to support the bridge.
After the framing was complete I covered the area using crumpled up contraction paper I got a Lowes. The process is similar to the process that Rich Batista highlighted in his video series. I use a mix of hydrocal and strucolite for the plaster work.
